TRINIDAD GUARDIAN REPORTER: A large, multistate outbreak of Zika virus has started to spread in Trinidad.
The first cases of the virus were reported in the western part of the country on Friday.
A second case was confirmed in Trinidad’s south.
Zika has also been reported in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Panama.
The first case was reported in Costa Rica.
The first reported cases in the southern part of Trinidad have occurred in the northern part of that country.
Trinidad’s health ministry says the number of confirmed cases has risen to 20.
